[Weekly Blog Challenge] My Collection?

Talking about collecting something, I remember when I'm in elementary school I was collecting cute loose leaf for binder. I mean, who doesn't? They sell it everywhere, the loose leaf. Even abang-abang who sells toys sell it. If I'm not mistaken, the range price is around thousands rupiah. Sometimes you get 3 loose leafs for Rp. 1000, sometimes you only get one with that price if that loose leaf is thick or considered rare. Yeah, rare. Now I realize no loose leaf is rare. When I think about it, it was so funny. We paid a quite expensive price for a paper that we don't even write on it. Or at least me, I was like that.

In junior high school, I started to know manga. There is a book rental near my school. Well, not too near, I need to cross the street twice to go there. I forgot who introduced me to this kind of things(?), but she success to make me go there almost every week. As I remember, my pocket money is Rp. 200.000 at that time and the rental is cost Rp. 1000 - Rp. 1500 per comic. If I want to read novel, the price is start from Rp. 15.000. Now I start wondering how I can survived at that time still need to buy something for lunch and keep renting comic and novel. Beside renting, I also start to buy it. I collect manga and novel that I really like, if the story is ordinary I just rent it. I bought manga or novel every month, either one novel or some manga per month. That cost a lot for junior high schooler, but I'm happy :D

On high school, I don't have specific interest. But I think on the last year of high school, I started to have interest for Nendoroid. So random, I know, but they are so cute! At that time I think I need to start collecting money and start to collect it. I also have a plan to display them on a glass cabinet if I have many of them. Ha! Maybe I'm a person who can get easily bored, I only have one set and even that was not original one. Yeah, it's barang kw. We will not see the difference at glance, but if looked at closely the difference will show. For example some paint is not looking good or their hinge is stiff (difficult to move). I don't mind, I like both of them. Maybe If I can take a photograph of them better I will start to buy nendoroid again and It's dangerous for my wallet.

After that time, I think I stop collecting things. If movie, drama, manga, and novel on my laptop can be considered as collection, I collect those things. But everybody do that, don't you? I can't say that is my collection, but yeah that is my hobby. I wonder why I stop collecting things. It feels so fun even your wallet is empty! Maybe it's just not the right time. Maybe later I will start to find another thing I want to collect. So, what is your collection? Mind sharing to me? Who knows I can join you collecting that things.

Vinii your collection is really interesting! I used to collect fancy loose leaf paper too but I dont know if I still have that at home now. And your Ciel and Sebastian figures are so cuteee :D I never buy action figure but as I remember, my brother has so many of them :D

DeleteKalo mo nyeritain my family's collections walah bejibun. My daughter's collections are turttles accessories, loose leaf also, Sailor Moons stuff (I wrote a story about this). My son's collection are Warhammers action figure until now. My collections are postcards, stamps when I were in highschool. Haha...

DeleteI used to collect loose leaf too!! Oh my god what a lovely days. Justru dulu aku masih tinggal di kota kecil. Jadi tiap ke gramedia di Surabaya selalu bawa pulang kertas binder yang ternyata paling keren satu sekolah :)) Kayaknya anak2 jaman sekarang koleksinya lebih effortless ya.
